| DESIGN NAME: Lei Light Reflection PRIMARY FUNCTION: Multifunctional Lighting INSPIRATION: The design aesthetic is reminiscent of traditional Japanese lighting or the shape of ancient andon lanterns. It could also be described as an embodiment of the keen sensibility towards delicately transitioning season of Japan and the time within it. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A lighting product combined with aroma diffuser and a mirror. With 3 color types and 4 levels of dimming, the product contributes to customize a variety of situations at personal, small-scaled spaces. It is an innovative design that utilizes reflected light inside the oval-shaped frame, creating a soft and beautiful light from any angle. The refined aluminum body is finished by superior craftsmanship. The diffuser uses an international patent pending technology utilizing capillary action. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: When using the light: 1. Adjust the lighting part to preferred angle. 2. Touch the power/brightness switch and light color switch to select the brightness/color of the LED light. Adjustment is possible by pressing multiple times. 3.When turning the power off, press the power/brightness switch. When using the aroma diffuser: With the aroma saucer and aroma plate set, drop the aroma oil and press the heater to spread the scent slowly. Remove the aroma lid. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2021 in Chiba/Tokyo, Japan and finished / started distribution in January 2024 in Japan. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The aroma diffuser uses an international patent pending technology. By setting a few drops of aroma oil upon the aluminum plate matrix, it will spread over the entire plate surface through capillary action and efficiently diffuse the scent to the air, assisted by heating operation. NAME: ANTBEE CO.,LTD. PROFILE: SOL style was founded in 2009 by Yutaka Ito (born in Matsuyama City, Ehime) and Yoshimi Tsurugi (born in Yokohama in 1982). The studio is active in a wide range of areas, including store design, graphics, housing, condominiums, product development, exhibition planning, and venue design. Member of the selection committee for the Tokyo Handicrafts project to promote product development and dissemination of traditional crafts, a judge for architecture and interior competitions. The members have given various lectures both overseas and in Japan, and has been active in a variety of fields beyond the framework of interior design. They have been involved in creative direction and venue design for pavilions in countries around the world from Russia, Germany, India, Thailand, and Belgium for the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). |
