Located on a busy suburban junction of Ernakulam city in Kerala, India is this 40 year old ancestral home that needed to be revamped. Built to accommodate a family of six members: a lovely couple, their three children and their elderly mother. The idea was to unify the entire space and bring back the soul of a house that had undergone minor renovations over the years. With the intention to encourage the passage of light and ample ventilation into the home, the designer made the openings bigger and took down obstructing walls to create airy spaces and vistas.

I'm an IT professional, who moved into designing out of passion. I started with the interiors of residences and with experience and a great team, we are taking up both architecture and interior design of selected residences. We try to give our clients a space rooted in their society and environment, with efforts to bring in simplicity and calmness into their everyday life.

Founded in the year 2019, Studio Nirvana is an experience-based design studio that has spent the past years understanding the spatial relationship of individuals and how it correlates to bring about a sense of warmth and safety to the occupants, what we like to call ‘zen-like’ spaces. Our philosophy is to create relatable spaces that bring about a feeling of enlightenment to the users.
