Motiva is philosophical art on your wall. A patented design concept that brings together inspiring quotes with beautiful artwork to create a new medium for expression. In a process called “visual compression”, Motiva's proprietary algorithm identifies common words within a set of quotes and overlaps them in a way that creates a unique letter grid. This unique grid is matched with striking artwork, printed on fine paper, and harnessed in a wooden frame. As Motiva hangs on your wall, it slowly reveals the quotes hidden within.
Ronen Shilo is an Israeli entrepreneur and software engineer. In 2005 Shilo founded and served as CEO of Conduit, Israel’s first unicorn and largest internet company in 2013. In early 2019, Shilo stepped down from his role as CEO at Conduit and quickly founded his fifth company, Head Ventures. As a private investment firm and innovation lab focusing on design and technology, Head Ventures is home to three companies: Motiva, Klydoclock, and Lyba. Motiva, where Shilo also serves as CEO & CTO, brings a new element to design using art, technology, and words to create Philosophical Art.
The concept of Motiva is rooted in its power to convey a powerful message in a limited space while upholding the delicate balance between art and technology. The fusion of words with art, empowered by technology, brings philosophical art to your wall as Motiva. Dieter Rams’ famous quote, “Less But Better '' is a fundamental idea in Motiva’s design concept that perfectly supports the belief that the whole can be far greater than the sum of its parts. Each Motiva is printed on fine art paper, harnessed in a wooden frame and hangs on the wall free of any technological indications. It presents a set of inspiring quotes that are visually compressed by a proprietary algorithm creating a unique letter grid for every Motiva that allows quotes to subtly illuminate from within. Quotes represent the essential core of ideas and beliefs. They are inspiring, comforting and thought-provoking at times, presenting themselves in many forms. Founded on this principle, Motiva brings a new dimension to visual art and a new form of expression to the world.
