Helios want to make locally produced sake from Okinawa's local crops. In 1961, under the philosophy of our founder Tadashi Matsuda, our company was founded with the production of "rum," a distilled spirit made from Okinawa sugarcane. Since then, as we have continued to grow into a comprehensive alcoholic beverage manufacturer with six different production licenses, we have pursued our dream of establishing all production systems, including the cultivation of raw materials, here in Okinawa, and have gradually realized this dream. As Helios approach the 60th anniversary of our founding, we have returned to our roots and renewed our determination to work with like-minded local people to create not only delicious sake, but also genuine sake that will be sustainable for a hundred years to come. Through such sake brewing, we will continue to take on the challenge of offering new sake encounters to as many customers as possible under the motto, "Sake Entertainer that brings a smile to customers face when they drink it.
