Koch's Meerrettich Rebranding

The motto "back to the roots" is currently conquering the food industry. Ancient root vegetables, which include horseradish, are currently very popular. To revive the brand in shelves, Wolkendieb relaunched the Koch's brand identity and packaging portfolio. The logo was modernised to become bolder and more visible. The new design focuses on depicting the unprocessed natural ingredients and the clean recipes without additives or conservatives. Fresh from the field straight to the consumer: directly, simply and lovingly prepared!

WOLKENdieb is a design agency located in Aachen, Germany. They specialised themselves in packaging, corporate design and conception. Annika Reuber, agency managing director and creative director created WOLKENdieb in 2018. Their key advantages? WOLKENdieb is fresh, courageous, sparkling... and what counts is personality and the direct proximity to the client. Therefore, direct communication between customer and designer takes place here. The team consists of communication designers, product designers, illustrators and artworkers of different nationalities. This ensures that they can approach projects from very different perspectives, which produces extremely different, exciting ideas. They work for food clients such as IBIS Backwaren, Lindt & Sprüngli, Lambertz Group and Rabenhorst. They are also creative in other business fields such as cosmetics, pet food, logistics, environmental associations or energy supply.

KOCHS Meerrettich & Feinkost GmbH

KOCH’s is a subsidiary brand of the Develey-Group, one of the strongest international companies for mustards, sauces and dressings. Regional attachments, local production and national sales are particularly driving its popularity. Since the family business was founded more than 100 years ago, KOCH’s has been cultivating its own fields, conducting its own plant research on cultivation, storage and gentle processing in the production lines. It takes the treasures of the past into the present times, to bring the new generation the unconventional taste of the horseradish, in a new way of seasoning.
