ZENustas Hair Salon aims to define an oasis of relaxation in the city of Yaizu, in the proximity of mount Fuji. The Interiors look reminds of the tidiness in the Zen Culture, where the dark wood is an homage to the natural materials used in this area. The preeminent natural component in the location has been brought inside the space to participate in the show, defining a new suggestive scenario. While the feature wall re-interpretates the Japanese traditional rice paper facades, the rounded-shaped mirrors add a western touch, setting overall a new mixed style.
Lorena Antea Caruana is an Architect and Interior Designer from Milan. After graduating from Politecnico di Milano she moves to Amsterdam where she starts developing spaces built all over the world. In 2020 she founds HI-DEA, an Architecture, and Interior Design firm, right before moving to Japan. In this country, she starts developing her own Architectural poetic, where new minimalism collaborates with Nature reducing the distances between the built environment and sustainability, an approach where ethic and aesthetic meet.
HI-DEA is a Design studio working on a diverse portfolio of Architecture and Interiors in the Netherlands and abroad. Our goal is to translate the needs of our customers into a unique experience of space. Among the scales of Architecture, Interiors, and Furniture Design, we seek a holistic approach to the built environment, ensuring care for the detail at the same time, starting from the Conceptual phase and ending with the construction.
