Using simple geometric shape and flat techniques, such as triangles, circles or squares, the design presents viewers with a unique world where the relations between symbols and meanings are not definite that viewers can explore any possible interpretation. The designer also uses only one highly saturated color in each poster to put viewers into an unease state that it seems something is needed attention. The spatial arrangement of color blocks and graphics creates an ambiguous space, which appears to be two-dimensional but also three-dimensional, constantly bewildering the viewers.
Working as a graphic designer and freelancer, the designer is living in a small town. After graduating from college with a degree in Civil Engineering, he found himself a greater interest in graphic design and then switched careers. However, the past experience he gained from Civil Engineering has always inspired him the preference of using geometric figures in design. He also loves to experiment the possibility of glocalization in design. Apart from that, the designer often questions and explores when re-examining the past design works.
Common Space is newly found by a group of passionate youth that were born and raised / work in Shunde, the organization started off by holding community and charity events, the concept was originally found in 2018 when key institutions identified a need to collaborate more cohesively on social inclusion and the concept of what a community is. The team has a very multicultural background, they are all from different fields in the society which includes architect, content creator, designer, etc. were novated on the site of the old pawnshop of Bijiang.
