Bliggit is an open platform providing a secure digital infrastructure to offer all the services of the city of Wuppertal (e.g., news, transport, banking, recreational activities and a lot more) through a single online environment. Bliggit helps connect Wuppertal's citizens and the service providers, thereby strengthening the local community. Bliggit raises the Wuppertal digital infrastructure to a completely new level and is a significant leap in the region's broader digitalization efforts. The app is deemed useful by many people during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bliggit – the Smart Assistant project for the City of Wuppertal has been initiated by two of the biggest companies in Wuppertal – Stadtsparkasse Wuppertal (SSK) and WSW Wuppertaler Stadtwerke GmbH (WSW). SSK is the local savings bank with a mission to serve people and businesses in Wuppertal with financial products. WSW is a city-owned municipal utilities company providing a range of municipal services including electricity, gas, water and waste management. The companies established a joint venture Bliggit GmbH with the mission to create a better interaction and synergy between citizens and local business through a digital solution, firstly in the city of Wuppertal and afterwards in other German cities.
