Cassiopeia by Finnish glass designer Sini Majuri is made from recycled waste glass. The sculpture is made from impure glass material that would end up as a landfill. The glass sculpture mirrors Scandinavian aesthetics through organic surfaces that mimic the nature of melting ice. The aim of the design is to create poetic interpretation of the contrast between recycled and valuable.
Glass artist Sini Majuri works in Helsinki, Finland. Her works have been exhibited in the USA, Japan, China, Europe and Canada.
