In Japan, there is a custom of Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) during the cherry blossom season. This tea was created to enjoy the season of Hanami with its fragrance and taste. Toshiki Okada created the package with a landscape to complement the cherry blossom and night cherry blossom flavors. He added hand-painted watercolors to the simple artwork to create a mix of modern and traditional designs.

If we seed the same spinaches, they will grow differently. This primitive difference is my philosophy for design. Just clean and neat, it’s not enough. Skill and logic, it’s not enough. I need a reason to create as a human being. Rough and impulsive beauty and passion, that’s what I learned in the street/club culture during my youth. And I value them to support the branding of small business.

Zikkichi Co., Ltd. is a manufacturer specializing in Japanese tea and matcha based in the historic city of Kawagoe. They manufacture domestically produced foods with a story behind them using Japanese tea.
