Collection creates a new aesthetic through waste and scrap from the sewing industry. Model design is born from a vivid combination of scraps, colours, proportions and textures. Each model is different and unique. The design reveals a variety of wear options, from a classic snug suit to oversize. Models created from pieces symbolize versatility and multiplicity of a person, inspiring users to rethink their values and re-create their self's. For the presentation, author chose a place that sometimes resembles new constructions and sometimes an apocalypse, which makes to rethink future scenarios.
Kęstutis Lekeckas is a designer whose works are not poping up, but all are supplemented with exceptional and delicate details. Creating original construction and making the most of material properties are very important for a designer, he is influenced by his education ans scientic work, he is a doctor of materials engineering and technology. The designer likes to surprise the consumer, striving for the original solutions of the garment to be discovered and noticed not immediately, but gradually, giving additional satisfaction and surprise to both the consumer and the observer. In his recent work, Kęstutis draws the most inspiration from Lithuanian heritage and ideas of a sustainable lifestyle, and seeks to contribute to sustainable development at the same time giving people joy.
Kęstutis Lekeckas has been working in the fashion industry since 1999. His first collections were conceptual and artistic, they participated in many national and international fashion competitions, are the winners of many of them, such success allowed designer to be convinced of the purposefulness of the chosen path. Over time, the quarry has developed in several different parallel ways, with the establishment of a sewing studio, Designer creates customized products for clients, and sews unit products of the highest quality. Parallelly developing various clothing projects, from stage performers to staff of official services. Clothing design, construction and production organization and maintenance services for other brands are provided, and in recent years the development of the LeKeckas men's line has also started. In fashion house leKeckas branded boutique and e-shop, company sells a wide range of men's clothing (from everyday to formal and gorgeous style), accessories and footwear. In addition to the above-mentioned creative activities, Kęstutis Lekeckas also carried out pedagogical and scientific research (expert) activities. KTU, having acquired the degree of materials engineering and technological sciences, continues to carry out scientific and creative activities by combining them. Designer enjoys when activities intertwine and complement each other, knowledge and integration of material and technological innovations into contemporary design clothing is very important in designers work.
