About MAHO SEKIZUKA : A designer from Kamo City, Niigata Prefecture. After graduating from high school, they studied visual design at Kuwasawa Design School and spent 10 years working as a graphic designer in Tokyo. Later, they returned to their hometown, engaging in activities to preserve and promote traditional papermaking techniques while acquiring the skills to produce "Kamo Paper." Currently, they work as a designer at Prograf Co., Ltd., offering comprehensive direction that integrates design, printing, and paper processing. They are committed to creating value for society through designs that emphasize regional characteristics and diversity. Design is the power of communication that creates and inspires. Through design, I aim to create "users' lives" and "clients' value," evoking emotions and inspiration. It is not just about pursuing beauty, but about blending into life and culture while offering moving experiences. To achieve this vision, I focus on diversity, such as regional characteristics, style, age, and gender, adopting an approach that "takes one step beyond" any barriers. Design is a tool that breaks down walls and connects people, and its power must always be supported by action and execution. Deeply contemplating every concept is the essence of design. I constantly put myself in the user's shoes, striving to understand their lives and emotions. At the same time, I delve deeply into the client's needs and values to clarify the direction of the design. I believe that the "thorough execution" connecting both perspectives is the key to a successful design. ORGANIZATION: PROGRAF inc.
