STATEMENT OF ART:Design, at its core, is the intersection of function and emotion, where aesthetics serve as a bridge between usability and experience. My work as a Senior Product Designer has always been driven by the belief that design is not just about visual appeal but about solving complex problems in a way that feels effortless and intuitive.
Coming from a background that merges UX, interaction design, and healthcare technology, I see design as a means to enhance human experiences—especially in fields where friction and inefficiency directly impact people’s well-being. My work on Tia’s first web-based EMR system exemplifies this philosophy. Traditional healthcare systems are rigid, impersonal, and inefficient. By approaching design as a human-centered process, I was able to reshape the provider-patient experience, ensuring that healthcare technology empowers rather than overwhelms.
I draw inspiration from systems thinking, architecture, and typography, disciplines that emphasize structure, clarity, and rhythm. Just as a well-designed building considers the flow of movement and light, a well-designed interface considers the cognitive flow of information, interaction, and engagement.
Good design is invisible yet deeply impactful—when done right, it seamlessly integrates into people's lives without them noticing. Whether it’s crafting a digital product, a typeface revival project, or an interactive data visualization, my goal is to design experiences that feel intuitive, evoke trust, and create lasting value.
Ultimately, I believe that design is about creating meaning in a way that transcends aesthetics—it is about crafting experiences that shape the way we live, work, and connect.
