About Nicholas McMillan : Nicholas McMillan is a designer with an eagerness to learn and a penchant to create work that exceeds expectations. An experienced creative leader with a demonstrated history of working within the design, marketing, communications, and education industries, Nicholas is skilled in conceptual, brand, collateral, and packaging design, marketing and communication strategy, as well as leading groups of junior creatives. With a career spanning 20 years, Nicholas has worked both professionally and as a design educator. Each position has provided invaluable experience allowing for personal and creative growth. Nicholas believes that design allows us to create work that answers numerous questions; some for a client, others in response to our daily lives, and still others that serve our creative need to experiment.

2001–Present // Freelance Designer, USA
Various Clients
• Served as the lead designer at Omaha Brewing Company (Omaha, GA) from 2017–2020 producing all can artwork, marketing, and other projects as requested.
– Worked in partnership with Realtree Inc to maintain brand recognition on can designs featuring their camouflage patterns.
– Several pieces were presented to US Army Senior Command at Ft. Benning in Columbus, Georgia for approval and to strengthen the brewery's relationship with the local military presence.
• Worked with the Art Museum of South Texas to design programs for the Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi Department of Art faculty exhibitions.

07.2017–12.2020 // Assistant Professor of Art in Graphic Design
Columbus State University, Columbus, GA
• Developed and authored the curriculum for the Graphic Design focus within the Department of Art.
• Designed instructional space for a new graphic design studio.
• Recommended the appropriate technology purchases and oversaw the implementation
of overall vision.
• Planned and coordinated lectures, projects, and schedules for up to seven graphic
design courses per academic year.
• Directed up to 30 students per semester.

• Coauthored and conducted research for the Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design as part of the School of Arts, Media, and Communication.
