View Larger Image and Additional Photos of Xiangzhi ZhaoI often think, supposing I learn the current fashion styles to do something frigidity-style designs and put necessary functions into top place, I wonder if it’ll be a perfect product from my hands? My answer is that I will make all functions to the extreme and take aesthetics as second consideration without hesitation as for those designs whose functions need to be further innovated. The reason lies on the fact that making people comfortable feelings while functionality reaches to the ultimate can also bring different aesthetics. For those designs with clear functions and absence of innovation values, requiring their aesthetics should be placed in supreme positions, with consideration of such functions cannot be greatly improved in future, the aesthetics reflected from those products shall be deemed the only highlights. Looking back at history, by taking ancient China as examples, plenty of cultural relics from Xia Dynasty to Qing Dynasty often oscillated between minimalism and complexity, which can also be seen that different products from ancient times to the present in view of both function and aesthetics vary from different focuses.
