Passionate about upcycling and the exploration of materials, she is dedicated to circular design: recovering waste for the production of new objects, making “trash” a new raw material. In particular, she supports companies in their sustainable development efforts, through actions that make visible the recovery and treatment of waste generated by these companies themselves, transformed into useful and marketable pieces.
I see the project as an in-between position among science, art and technology. In this sense Design is the marvelous resulting tool of this mixture, which can lead the society (us) to paradise or destruction. Reduce the environmental impact of products and services, shifting towards circularity, should be our main mission and our only motto.
In relation to the way I see my own design and the way I approach the projects that come to my studio, I think it is very necessary to recover direct contact with the material when designing. The digital model will never replace the sensory experience generated by touching the materials. I work with discarded elements, so it is essential for me to explore them, to understand their own logic and from there design the product. So the form that enables the function arises from the immanence of the material. That is my personal mark on the products I create.
