View Larger Image and Additional Photos of Benedetta CovantiAbout Benedetta Covanti : French Canadian and Italian, Benedetta Covanti is a textile and homeware designer focusing on the union of old and new techniques at the intersection of the fashion and design world. Her one-of-a-kind motifs are inspired by her personal drawings of organic forms and textures found in nature. The grand-daughter of Anna Crocetti Covanti, a notable Italian textile designer and artist, Benedetta’s creations stem from her Italian roots and a heritage of craftsmanship.
Through my practice, I explore the relationship between pattern and color and what they can create in space, on a body, on objects or through an artistic installation. I believe in design with a concept and a deeper meaning that has heart to it.
