I am an MA fashion design student and I always think I can be any other designers in different categories. I just chose fashion as a tool to express my feeling because It was best material for me to use.
Currently I'm in the line where I need to choose between business and art. Because my job is a fashion designer. These days, more and more designs from luxury fashion brands are becoming commercial and it lost it's identity.
I think the word "art" for fashion industry is very unique compare to other art form like painting because clothing is not something you keep in the museum but something that people actually wear.
I think it makes fashion to be more interesting when I think about art because it always has to be together with business that it creates it's own art form which is combination of art and business.
