DESIGN NAME: Seotun Saram
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Corporate Identity
INSPIRATION: Seotun-saram is a service that connects a counselee with a professional counselor. In Korea, there is no right regulation on psychological counseling, so bad people can open counseling centers with certifications which are easy to obtain. With these problems persisted, people suffered from them, and perception of counseling became bad. We wanted people to get good counseling service through this and hoped their life to be warmer.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 'Seotun-saram039; means someone who is not skilled and used to, and our slogan means 'Everyone starts clumsily.' We made a fairy tale that expresses the process of counseling metaphorically for people who are not used to counseling. This fairy tale will be given to people who use this service.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: We wanted to enable clients to get skilled counseling in a safer setting.We tried to convey warmth and give the right direction for counseling. There are two characters in Seotunsaram. 'Seotun' is a counsellee who lost and wandering. 'Gobukki' is a slow but reliable counselor who accompanies him to the end. In addition, the warm paper texture, lyrical navy blue of the night sky, and hand-drawn icons make up our service. This is simple, but valuable work.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2017 and finished in August 2018 in Republic of Korea.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: We wanted to introduce people to qualified psych consultancy centers to help customers receive professional counseling services in a more secure environment.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This psych consultancy service bring a message of hope and consolation to those in need with the warm paper texture, lyrical navy blue of the night sky, and hand-drawn icons.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: There are two weaknesses in Korea's psychological counseling infrastructure. One is that anyone who doesn't have the right to run a counseling center, and the other is that the public has a negative perception of counseling. Although many people complain of psychological pain, policy is still incomplete and awareness is low. We wanted to introduce people to qualified psych consultancy centers to help customers receive professional counseling services in a more secure environment.
CHALLENGE: This is to keep the negative and difficult image of psychological counseling friendly and warm. And to provide accurate psych consultancy information.
