| DESIGN NAME: Residence of Yang PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House INSPIRATION: The whole space takes the life of the owner as the core, turns the shortcomings of the beam column structure into the advantage. The circulation hopes to be comfortable and smooth, and the public area shapes the spacious and enlarged home experience through the open partition design, and the introduction of outdoor natural light. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This case is the case of old house renovation; in the pubic area, along the beam column structure, the television wall and bookshelf draws close against the wall, makes way for the open circulation, and connects the living room and the dining room; the dining table is naturally placed in the corner, to let the family members have more flexibility and choices in having dinner. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In the public area, it abandons the design of partition wall, so that the space can be completely opened up, which seems more open and enlarged, and lets the house owner pay attention to the trend of the family members at any time. TV wall is with inclined design, so the family members in both the living room and dining room can share the fun of audio and video, which breaks the dimensional limitation, and also creates the opportunity of charting and interaction, to pull close the distance. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: In the color matching of the overall space, a large amount of white and natural wood grain collocation method is used; along with the introduction of lighting on both sides of the public area, the interior is more bright and spacious, and it can also enjoy the warm and moist texture of logs, so that people can have the practical feeling like staying in nature. The TV wall follows the beam and column structure and is designed with the oblique section, breaking the formalized concept of the wall, which not only gives more space to the people, but also satisfies the use of the two fields; the sofa parados replaces the general wall body through the wood grain bookcase, and the open layer board design transmits the house owner’s life feeling along with the multivariate of the decoration objects, and adorns the rich visual sense, while the plain and simple wood grain lets the cabinet naturally blends into the life setting, which is not too outstanding, but satisfies the practical function at the same time. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: Interior, Modern style Design, House, Residence, RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In order to create the bright, spacious and warm texture in the limited space, the white and wood grain color interweaves, and lets the family members have more condensed emotion and communication through comfortable interaction. Under the design of lighting on both sides of the public area, the designer continues the existing structure of the space, endows the life function along the wall, and naturally makes way for the core space. With the development of the daily activities and stories of the house owner and family members, it naturally shapes the moving line and circulation. CHALLENGE: Because it is the case of old house renovation, it faces more challenges on the reorganization of foundation engineering, such as the moisture-proof and pipeline rearrangement, which all need to be more practiced.
