DESIGN NAME: Orfeo and Euridice

INSPIRATION: The passion for Sci Fi universe and the love for this history inspired me for this project, that was born during a master class in "concept art"; the theme was the latin story of "Orfeo and Euridice".My inspiration for designs came from my favorite artist like Anthony jones, Ruan jia, Alex Konstad ecc. and from a lot of video games like warhammer, dead space , starcraft , halo
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The story is set on the earth in a remote future, Euridice plays the role of a researcher in the field of advanced weapons development,she is faced with the introduction of nanotechnology in combat systems; she gets start the events. the link between ancient storytelling and Sci Fi designs makes this design unique and particular, especially tanks to different characters. The good one are characterized by Sci Fi suits and the bad one are characterized by monstrous form.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: to get a good result in this work, which basically deals with pre-production, the most important thing in my opinion is to see the idea and the development of the idea itself. The end user interact with the design through visual content or will interact with 3d models that will be created and animated based on my own illustrations.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: the project began in October 2017 and ended in June 2018. is a personal project that was assigned to me by one of my masters while I was attending the master in concept art. Has not yet been produced but I hope one day to be able to bring it to light

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The project is made entirely with adobe photoshop.The initial phase involved a study of a characters accurate whit thumbnails and silhouettes.The next step is the development of the characters features, one of my main intention when creating a character or environment is not just to give it a good look but to make that expressive the hidden idea of that particular subject.All designs are designed to be impactful and functional to animation after the development in modeling phase.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Usually I start with a sketching stage on several levels where I deal first of all with the composition of the image extrapolated from the chosen thumnail. I begin to draw for masses and continue to define. Each phase requires careful study of the components as they must be designed so that they are functional for modeling and animation, ensuring that everything can work at its best. I use 1920 1080 resolution; 600 dpi.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The type of research is fundamentally aesthetic based on giving a new shape to a history of mythology.
the aim of the research is precisely to give a new aesthetic touch, but it also has its objective the expression of a story, an environment,a character.
The research begins through photographic references and works by other artists that inspired me.
the data collection is based on real object that could inspire me for new design and ideas following a aesthetic taste fit the theme.this kind of research has produced an original design to combine the old and something new.
CHALLENGE: the challenge was above all as usual to overcome my limitations. the creative challenge was to bring something new, perhaps the biggest challenge was to make a context like mythology new and vital. it was also a great challenge, I am a big fan of the mythological context, and in a certain sense I felt the responsibility of dealing with such a topic, and giving my best was certainly one of my goals.
