DESIGN NAME: Viva 2017: Interactive for Growth
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Book
INSPIRATION: The theme of Viva’s 2017 annual report is ‘Interactive for Growth’. The key word is the interaction between Viva and its audience. Viva Group's business has been focuses on television and digital portals. So, the overall design uses the technology/digital approach with the shades of red (as corporate color) combined with other colors to give 'festive' but elegant and attractive feel. Combination of images (production tools and events) and typography are designed to communicate this theme.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Viva Group is a leading integrated media convergence company in Indonesia which has been listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange since November 2011. Since then, Viva has established itself as an consistent innovator in the sector by strategically focusing on micro targeting, synergies and audience interaction. The Company’s activities cover Free to Air (FTA) tv stations and fast growing digital portal, supported by social media and off air activities for comprehensive reach across all channels.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The annual report opens with the theme’s description. The content is unfolded through 7 main chapters (as authorised by Indonesia Financial Services Authority) dedicated to corporate activities throughout the year. The annual report closes with an consolidated financial report that provided by independent auditor.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Jakarta in December 2017 and finished in March 2018.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The entire research process was done through the internet.
CHALLENGE: In the process of designing this project, the biggest challenge is in compiling informative and yet interesting information in this annual report. The tricked is by making a simple design by combining vibrant colours, bold typography, humanist infographics and differences pages size (examples: milestones and rewards).
