| DESIGN NAME: Face of Animal PRIMARY FUNCTION: Animal Portrait INSPIRATION: Atsuko has five years old dog. They spend their time together everyday. And She found out that dog has feelings and facial expression is slightly changed at each time. How about the other animals? Do they have their own feelings? Can they express those feelings on their faces? UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Atsuko observed animals at zoo. She could not find any changes of their facial expression at that time. But she took photos of them, and went home. There were a lot of animals who have feelings and show those emotions on their faces when she checked the pictures she took. She retouched photos because she wanted their face stood out against the plain background. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Retouched by Photoshop. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in the November 2017, and finished in the January 2019. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Photography and Photo Manipulation Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Retouched with Photoshop to have a natural look. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Nikon D800 was used. Images were processed with Adobe Lightroom, and Photoshop. TAGS: photography, animal, zoo, photo manipulation RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Learned by a dog who has feelings, and be able to show her feelings. CHALLENGE: It was hard to take photos of animals who were the first time to meet, because there was no information on them. NAME: Atsuko Tateno PROFILE: Atsuko Tateno graduated from University Of Central Oklahoma. Her major was Photojournalism. She went back to Japan after the graduation. She became a web-designer instead of a photographer to persue her interest in design field. But she could not stop her feeling about being a professional photographer. She is a amature photographer, who has a dream of being a professional photgrapher, and a retoucher. |
