| DESIGN NAME: Rallying PRIMARY FUNCTION: Championship INSPIRATION: The inspiration of this project come from the track and language of racing flag. we use the abbreviation of this project name COC-China Circuit Off-road Championship, combined with the shape of track and language of racing flag. Add green flag at the beginning, chequered flag at the end to make the visual performance more prominent and racing. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a motor racing sport band design. what we want to show is the sense of speed and power of racing sport. we used the round angle to make the LOGO more like a track, and use the flag language of start and end to emphasis this is a motor racing sport. To make the logo highly recognizable. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Our project communicates with social audience at the competition site, use TV live, network broadcasting and other media to promote this sport. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project started in Aug 2017 in Xi'an China and finished in Sep 2017. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Posters, video, name card, flag, derivative. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: For rallying sport the handouts are made: display board, name card, flag, A board, derivative. For sport promotion: video, posters, network broadcasting, advertising. TAGS: identity, logo, sport, rallying RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This is a brand visual design project. Our objective is to dig the special visual representation elements of this project, and use design language to present directly. COC is a Chinese independent racing sport. Racing sport is not a widely popularity sport in China, we want to use a all aspects of brand packaging, including video, network broadcasting, derivative design to bring a multilevel experience of this sport, and therefor achieve a continuable operation. CHALLENGE: At the beginning when we take this design, we do a lot field trip on the game to totally understand the background and operation of this project. Because this sport is a Chinese independent racing sport, our customer has a very inherent knowledge of this project's brand, they want to show more Chinese characteristics on this brand. After several rounds field trip research and negotiation with customer, finally we decide to back to the sport self, start from the name of this sport, to dig the special visual elements of this project, to achieve the objective of improve the identification of this project.
