DESIGN NAME: Auer Signal
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Corporate Design
INSPIRATION: The new design and logotype was inspired by the former logo and the existing color. The inspiration for the signet was taken from the side
view of a ventilator that the grandfather of the executive director developed back in the 1960s. The new is very much born from the old.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Auer Signal is one of the biggest producers of high-quality signalling equipment. The former design did not reflect this quality, so we created a minimalistic visual language with a new Logo, high-quality photography, a new website and printed selling material. The new design should also communicate the history of Auer Signal. The company exists since 1910. The Logo Mark is inspired by a fan, an old product of Auer Signal.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Auer Signal is one of the biggest producers of high-quality signalling equipment. The new design should also communicate the history of Auer Signal. The company exists since 1910!
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Project started in January 2016 and finished in April 2017 in Vienna.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: For Auer Signal a catalogue in five languages, folder, bussinesscards, envelopes with inside print, tow sorts of notebooks with white foil embossing and blue linen, a mailing with die cut and much more printed material. Everything was printed with two Pantone colors on a rough hiqh quality paper. We also created a website with a configuration tool, a Logo animation, product photographs, etc.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: First of all we did an extensive research of the history of Auer Signal. The competitors of Auer Signal and their design were also part of the research.
