PRIMARY FUNCTION: Brand Identity
INSPIRATION: One Fine Day designs & crafts emotive wear for the playful imaginative where stories and emotions are translated into apparel designs of hope & playful imaginations. An embodiment of naivety fun, love & youth, the name evokes a myriad of feelings & story tells the start of a wonderful journey. Drawing strength from lessons in journeys of life & the spirituality of the Universe, the beliefs & intent are translated into designs of hope & playful imaginations.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The One Fine Day brand has been invigorated from the ground up with a unique trademark that relates to the brand name. The eventual result is a youthfully unique apparel brand identity that balances modern simplicity with subtle detailing, quality craftsmanship, a fresh hue, playful graphics & embroideries. The ultimate intention is a brand identity that enhances the good feelings of the consumer, accentuating positivity, fun and liveliness.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Every visual communication touchpoint designed for the One Fine Day brand, from logo, icons, colors, posters, embroidery, website to packaging is purely intended to permeate positive feelings; spreading positivity & enhance the good feelings of the consumer. Each created apparel design has a positive story behind its creation, which the story is translated into a short write up printed on the apparel hang tag. The intention is to share the positive essence of the design story & further accentuate positivity and liveliness.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in January 2017 and finished in January 2018 in Singapore.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Apparel packaging is created using thick artcard header & glued to a transparent sealable polyester bag. One Fine Day packaging is the first touchpoint with the consumers, hence the objective with the brand's packaging design is to keep it simple, lightweight and iconic; permeating the intended positive feelings and vibe to the consumers. The packaging has also been designed to factor in the ease for postage mailing. The ultimate intention is a packaging design (with the brand identity) designed to enhance the good feelings of the consumer, accentuating positivity and liveliness.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Packaging dimension : 31cm x 43cm x 290g, consisting of artcard header, transparent polyester sealable bag & thick artcard hang tag.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research has been done to create a brand identity & packaging that can best represent the positive essence of One Fine Day brand & their purest intention to spread this positivity. All visual communications & colors have been specially planned & prototyped to ensure the best experience can be communicated. The eventual result is a youthfully unique apparel brand identity that balances modern simplicity with subtle detailing, quality craftsmanship, fresh color hues, playful graphics & embroideries.
CHALLENGE: The main challenge faced is in areas of vendors support - embroidery & print prototyping / production, due to limited apparel quantities produced by the client. With such, the collaterals are also printed in small quantities and the overall production costs have to be keep lean since One Fine Day Emotive Wear is a young brand. After much sourcing and trials, we managed to find a handful of small business owners to collaborate on the prototyping & production for the embroideries, apparel and collaterals.
