| DESIGN NAME: Vetport PRIMARY FUNCTION: Logo INSPIRATION: The concept was to integrate veterinary and the cloud element in the main character.The first letter of VETport, 'V' was taken as the main character.The Silhouettes of a dog and a cat representing Veterinary, looking up the cloud show the significance and concern for a cloud based app for their well being.Navy blue for professionalism and red for strength and attention was chosen as basic colour scheme. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project was to redesign a logo for VETport.VETport is a cloud based Veterinary Practice Management Software.The first letter of VETport, V was taken as the main character and developed further by adding more elements into it.The silhouettes of a dog and a cat representing Veterinary, looking up the cloud shows the significance and concern for a cloud based app for their well being.Navy blue for professionalism and red for strength and attention was chosen as basic colour scheme. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The hidden cloud element within the logo has earned great reviews, both within the company and from the outside. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in 2018 March and was completed in Mumbai, India in 2018 April. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: After a few preliminary sketching and brainstorming, the final logo was designed in Adobe illustrator. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Business card 54mmX92mm, 92mmX54mm Letter head 215mmX279mm Envelope 251mmX209mm TAGS: Logo, VETport, Cloud Based, Veterinary, Branding RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design process involved understanding of the project, study of different elements related to it and being a globally used software, an extensive research on the competitors was also done. CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge in this project was to add the cloud element in the main character along with the silhouettes, still keeping the design simple and professional.
