| DESIGN NAME: Onece Time Stage PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sanitaryware Showroom INSPIRATION: Wabi: Natural simplicity and quietness that deny the concept of splendor and sumptuous design. Sabi: The time that is spent and wasted, which creates memory that glows. The design is to utilize the time flow (SABI) to connect each simple and quiet field (WABI), which then expresses the modernity of dynamic and static spaces. To emphasize the inner beauty of commodity by utilizing simple lines to structure the space and implanting black, white, as well as gray as main visual color. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: To differentiate from ordinary exhibition space, we define this space as “A background that can accentuate the beauty of commodity”. By this definition, we want to create a stage that the commodity can shine itself spontaneously. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: - PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in November 2017 and finished in March 2018 in Taipei, and was opened in Taipei city, Taiwan in March 2018. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: the usage of rocks and Semco(Polished bond) specifically deemphasizes the exterior design and decorations, which also expresses the focus on the beauty of commodity itself. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: site area: 180 square meter TAGS: Cut down to the essence but not taking away the poetry; keep the purity but not stripping the vitality. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In this project,we create two design elements to be a very important rule to follow. The first is axis which shows connecting and relationship between Italy and Taiwan. We use a big map to find the two points then connected to be a axis. The axis shows a line which turned 8.722 degree on site. Time is second element. What is time in the project? Time is product. Each product was made by different designers in different period. Time is distance and scale. In the showroom, we divide 5 spaces. The distance between space and space is depended on how long the customer will stay, product size and quantity. Time is material. We use the texture and color of material to show not only visual but tactile sense. After all, we combine the two elements to a perfect stage for Agape product. CHALLENGE: The most challenge part is making a simple but remarkable stage for each product which was designed in different time. We try to give each unique product a clean background to show themselves.
