| DESIGN NAME: The LandMark PRIMARY FUNCTION: Luxury Mansion INSPIRATION: Like a wheat ear growing next to the Zhujiang Park, it breaks the dullness of the residential "square box" and enriches the skyline of Guangzhou Zhujiang New Town.Based on the rare city resources, the starting point of the design is to build a different mansion with symbolic significance in Guangzhou.Secondly, the overall building that consists of three towers in the design not only makes the building beautiful and clever, but also reflects in the method of plane household. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Landmark, with a total of 99 units, is the tallest residential building in Guangzhou. It is composed of three individual towers with an overall height of 198 meters. The Landmark is echoing with the Guangzhou West Tower, TV tower and other landmarks. With its own unique personality and advanced design means, The Landmark also breaks the conventional residential building of square box within Zhujiang New Town, which not only brings a new vitality, but also shapes a new landmark in Guangzhou. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: As a unique super high-rise building on the Guangzhou new central axis, the project is sympathetic to Guangzhou TV Tower and the West Tower. With the different viewing angles, the shape of the tower also shows a variety of attractive postures. When entering the interior, the comfortable interior space is refreshing, and the design approach to multiple angles also shows the city's prosperity. The coordination within and outside the building expresses the architect's unremitting pursuit of land use, function, and quality. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Landmark is located in Zhujiang new town, Guangzhou, China. Designed in Guangzhou in June 2009 and completed in September 2016. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The Landmark is the last residential project along the city central axis in Zhujiang new town. it has several landscape viewport sources including central city area, Zhujiang park, Zhujiang north park. Moreover, in its 198 meters structure, The Landmark has 99 luxurious units with different layout. architecture itself represents as a elegant shape structure, standing out in front of those normal rectangular building and embracing the city skyline. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This project total area is 16024.3 square meter, total architectural area 93225.15 square meter. Height is 195.8 meter. above ground 52 floors, underground 3 floors, podium 2 floors. The project has 99 units, area range between 220-2000 square. TAGS: A, super high rise. B, dialog with city. C, balance between structure and function. D, elegant curving system. E, traditional culture. F, three towers in one. G, multiple plan units. RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The Landmark perfectly cohere the Zhujiang park on the north which representing as elegant, sophisticated shape. The idea of three towers in one not only emphasize the design, but also show the rational residential layout principle. Because of the curving curtain wall, each plan is individual so that it can provider different alternatives to customers. CHALLENGE: The ironic issue between curving shape and residential functions. This project is residential, the living circle and space comfort are the crucial part. it is important to balance the structure issue and plan layout. In this project, architects and engineers are working closely to discuss structure type, and improve the design.
