| DESIGN NAME: Bureau 58 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Office Buildings INSPIRATION: The Project is mainly for a business purpose, So its designed to be eye catching project by using the white curved lines and the dark gray glassing which assist to reach the target. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Project designed to be three buildings ,Two buildings connected with the same entrance and the third building is separated with its own entrance ,The project consists of five levels each level is 6000 sqm except the basement size take all the land size which is 15500 sqm. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The project is targeting LEED and WELL certificate ,so the design fully consider the application of energy saving ,renewable energy production ,emission reduction, low carbon ,improve indoor air quality energy conservation, environmental protection ,reduce aggregate water consumption, comfortableness of buildings and other technologies to achieve high efficiency and low operating cost. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The Building is located in New Cairo,Egypt ,Designed in 2018 FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Architecture, Building and Structure Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Main Construction Materials : White finish FRP , curtain wall consists of heat strengthen neutral grey solar control Glass and aluminum with Warm grey Brown color, white Quartz Tiles for flooring,Different kinds of cladding for interior wall finished. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Plot size :15500 sqm , Total built-up area : 6000 sqm , Building height :16 meters TAGS: curve , lines, fiber reinforced polymer , Green architecture , New Cairo , Egypt RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The project is loacted in the center of the bussiness area in front of the american university of cairo, Adding to this the existing structure taken in consideration and to avoid any modifcations on it. So the white FRB curved lines used to move through floor levels to join the building mass with each other and the grey glassing to reflect the surrounding giving eye catching project. CHALLENGE: The existing structure had been built with loading provision based on the previous master-planning of a mall. The project brief is to re-design the buildings within the existing structural constraints and to accommodate changes in plans as owner vision without any changes in the columns, stairs ,elevators location & shafts openings to be office buildings.
