PRIMARY FUNCTION: Global Technology Center
INSPIRATION: The design was based on a new trend in image and architecture for all offices in the rest of the world. Its concern for social, environmental and the work place wellbeing of its employees has driven it to implement strategies of Innovation work with the collaboration of various national and international institutions that increase the creation of ideas and prototypes in line with what it does.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: One of the most difficult challenges the world faces today is improving health. As a global biopharmaceutical company, Astra Zeneca, spurred by innovation, located its Global Technology Center in Zapopan taking advantage of the fact that Zapopan is considered one of the best places for the development of the information technology industry, in addition to Astra Zeneca commitment in various countries to constant improvement.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Astra Zeneca GTC Guadalajara is designed for 400 people. It is equipped to satisfy all needs that may arise inside the work space and is surrounded by color accents at different points with functional spaces that promote teamwork and the sensation of working in a place especially designed for each person, creating a sense of belonging for each one; always innovating the forms of work and collaboration.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in August 2016 in Guadalajara Mexico and finished in March 2017.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The general image creates a hybrid between modernity and avant-garde, the combination of materials, Carrara marble, glass, wood and color accents gives this place a dynamic and flexible character that makes you look at the details. This differentiates the space from any other. The use of hexagons as a symbol of structure, strength and order accompanied by graphic details of DNA abstractions that remind us of the importance of generating, storing and transmitting from generation to generation essential information for the development of new ideas that benefit humanity.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 3,980 m2 physical space. In an open area 400 people fit in their own work space.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The use of branding with the DNA of the company throughout the built spaces reflects the pride of the organization and reinforces its identity as a company that searches for better conditions for its employees, always aware of taking advantage of all the opportunities to encourage innovation.
CHALLENGE: Some of the best ideas come from a relaxed mind. Thus places like the work coffee are made for relaxation, where you can sit and work in a different space or have an informal meeting for brainstorming, and increase creativity, as well as in the game room, which has everything needed to take a break, increasing relaxation and creativity. It has some game tables, a television screen, spaces to sit, etc.
