| DESIGN NAME: Paper Ceramic PRIMARY FUNCTION: Poster INSPIRATION: I have profound feelings about China's ceramic culture and paper culture. I want to communicate these cultures through the design of a series of poster and let the people of the world understand Chinese culture. In this design, I integrate the artistic conception of Chinese landscape painting with the ceramic glaze production process. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The posters are designed in the form of Chinese calligraphy to convey the properties of paper and ceramics. The use of different Chinese characters to express the soft and hard nature of the ceramics and paper, this is a very clever design idea. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Posters can be posted in outdoor public places. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in February 2018 in Jiangxi and finished in March 2018 in Jiangxi. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This is a series of poster design, respectively, using the manual production, photography, computer synthesis and other comprehensive technology to achieve. The calligraphy part is invited calligrapher to write the text; the effect of glaze ceramic materials for mixed water written on the glass; in addition, also with ceramic porcelain and Chinese characters synthesized graphics. This makes the design effect very rich. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Height 700 mm * Width 1000 mm TAGS: Poster Design, Chinese culture RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This work studies the integration of Chinese culture and Western culture, combining the Chinese elements with Western elements. They convey the artistic presentation of ceramic materials and paper materials as the carrier. CHALLENGE: The biggest difficulty is how to show the properties of the paper and the properties of the ceramic material through visual communication. NAME: Institute of Technology Ecjtu PROFILE: We are one of the renowned multi-disciplinary and comprehensive universities in China, focuses on railway-related disciplines and features the transportation engineering. It was established in 1971, when the State Council approved of combining both College of Locomotive and Rolling Stock in Shanghai Jiaotong University and College of Railway Engineering in Tongji University together to establish Shanghai Railway Institute, which was later renamed East China Jiaotong University and transferred to Jiangxi Province. Since 1978, ECJTU and Shanghai Railway Institute ran independently as two universities and then was affiliated to the Railway Ministry of China. In 2000, the university was reformed to be co-sponsored by both central and provincial governments, but mainly under the administration of the latter. Through many years' unremitting efforts, under priority construction in Jiangxi Province, ECJTU has grown into a provincially key university and one nationally accredited institution offering doctoral degree programs. |
