DESIGN NAME: Damavand Villa
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential
INSPIRATION: The primary source of inspiration is nature and building site's surrounding. Natural integration of two different things in every growth existing in nature was the most influential concept for inspiration in this project.
The border separated building and site ground is invisible and inconspicuous. This is a result of its gradual transformation. Roof covering containing stripes has penetrated to ground grasses diversely.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: On one occasion the building design ended up like a compromise between construction and nature, this villa was successfully formed. Aforementioned consensus encompasses simplicity, brevity, and deference to natural context. This is a gist of all concerns in a brief concept. Building design in the section is harmonized with its surrounding by converting sharp edges to curves in sloping roof angles and extending roofs and walls gradually and smoothly on top of the ground.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: this project can be defined as a contemporary, modernized and friendly form of a villa which offers an intimate feeling for pedestrians.
A natural monument in the region which in villa constructed, named Damavand mountain was an influential factor in designing the villa. This building is affected by its view and its form.
The significant view is incorporated in the openings and its form is used metaphorically in the building growth.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This design stater in June 2016 in Tehran and finished in September 2016 in Tehran
Designated site for this project is near the Tehran in countryside
Exact name of the town is Damavand

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Since the harsh climate of the site was the most important factor in research, many pieces of research have been done on this issue. Getting rid of snow in winter is a vital arrangement for this purpose. The general and final roof covering walls and ceiling simultaneously consists of many layers; polymer insulation, steel network of profiles, fillers such as cement and concrete, thermal isolation, gypsum, and plaster.
CHALLENGE: Finding a proper angle possible to create the whole cover with steel profile and prefabricated elements for this curve structure was the most challenging part. The innovated method for those curve includes selecting moderate thickness which is both suitable for being stable and flexible and allocating cross element to make them more resistant.
