RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
We are interested in Chinese philosophy and we had interview different people which showed us it will be great to have some functional and useable art piece can represent the philosophy. Also, we did research on "Bagua" and found that its meaningful and wish to make an art piece to show to the public.

CHALLENGE:
The accuracy of marking and crafting the mortise and tenon joint. A tiny mistake could cause failure of the entire artwork. Delicate handling of electrical wire and red thread through the lamp is required to ensure continuous electricity supply and avoid twisting of the wooden structure. Wood bending is another issue that consumes plenty of time and shaping details.
