PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residence
INSPIRATION: The impressive stone facade, that leads to the social entry of the residence.This main block, sustained by an important steel structure in balance and covered by natural stone of diferent sizes and weight, floats into the water.
The impressive stair, coated in marble, enjoys the vertical garden entrance vision and unify the independent blocks of the residence.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This 1.000 square meters urban residence, located in the city of Sao Paulo - Brazil, was concepted in 3 floors, based on bold design, giving maximum emphasis to space integration, range of rooms, comfort and privacy.
The space integration and ample rooms defines the project, especially in the social areas, that faces the backyard garden and generous pool.
This concept provides much privacy for the entire residence, and at the same time, integrates all the house throughout its wide garden.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The philosophy of the essential applied to architecture brought greater value to the spaces. The integrated ambients promoted intense interaction and coexistence between individuals. Those were the keys for the success of this project.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The conception of this project took six months and its constrution around two years. It was a Single Residence Finalist at International AArchitizer Award.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The definition of finishing materials was meticulously estudied, working with plain white walls, natural stones and natural wood. The absence of doorspots at pivot doors and glass walls promotes wide ambiences, emphasizing the open house design. The Living Room space works as a big covered terrace, totally integrated to the gardens around it. The contrast between the stone floor or walls, the wood panels and white finishings dramatizes the effects of light and volume of the house.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Located in a residencial neighborhood in Sao Paulo City, Brazil, this one thousand square meters house project, was developed creating distinct blocks, according to their functions as living, services and bedrooms, acomodated in three diferent levels.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The main structure of the social blocks was calculated to enable the large openings and heights, with minimal interference of pillars to receive all the stone in balance and the large self-supporting aluminum and glass frames specially designed and manufactured for this house.
CHALLENGE: The street facade block is in balance, sustained by an important steel structure allowing to be covered by natural stone of diferent sizes and weight, floating into the entrance water mirror and housing the powder room and home office.
All softened by the vertical garden placed along the water mirror that leads to the social entry of the residence, providing an amazing visual efect to the glass entrance hall and stone stair.
The impressive stair, all coated in marble, was setled as an independente structure, unifying the house levels and giving much personality to the main entrance.
