| DESIGN NAME: Morph PRIMARY FUNCTION: Washbasin INSPIRATION: First idea for this washbasin is that we need more nature in our life. And when we are in bathroom we are closest to nature, we are surrounded with water. I get morphological form from sea shells and from shape of lotus when water drop fall on it. And through golden cut I design this part of art. Every piece have unique texture, you cant found two same pieces as in nature, two identical things can not be found. This is a washbasin made for luxury bathroom. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Its unique design in field of bathroom furniture. The main idea was to bring the natural form into the everyday urban life. Washbasin have shape of lotus when water drop fall on it. Its edges are not flat, they are corrugated, as well as the shape of the sink. This sink is made from polyester resin and some additional additives in order to get a certain structure and texture of the material. This material is very difficult to damage and it is resistant to chemicals and scratches that gives priority over the ceramic that is brittle. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Polyester from which the sink is made is a material that is scratch resistant and resistant to chemicals. It also gives a smooth surface that gives cleanness. If the sink is placed so that the highest part is turned on to the user, a water droplet blocker is created when washing hands. And drops of water do not end up on the clothes of the user. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in June 2017 in Nis from sketches through 3d model and finished in October 2017 in Nis like real model for human use. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Sink is made of a mold and is poured from polyester resin and some additional additives in order to get a certain structure and texture of the material. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width 722 mm, Depth 395 mm, Height 208 mm TAGS: Washbasin, Sink, Morph, Shell, Elegant, Bathroom, Recycling, Polyester, Amorphous form, Smooth RESEARCH ABSTRACT: I began as research for innovative design bathrooms. After I found that there is no specially designed sink in the market and that they are all very simple in shape and without life. As a nature lover, I sought inspiration there. And he found it. The inspiration was first of all nature with its amorphous and asymmetrical shapes, and then looking further, I turned to various shell forms. My design task was to bring nature into the inner space of towns and closer to the man with the environment. CHALLENGE: The first challenge was to design something new, unseen. And when the design process was completed, it should have been made in the material as well. There was a problem with how to do it. We made the first CNC model and made a mold from it. After that, we poured polyester resin with some extras and get a unique modern design washbasin.
