RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The Liberty Museum site is a great location for visually connecting memorial monuments and iconic architectures in New York. By virtue of those architectures such as the Empty Sky Memorial which has a directional corridor, these networks firmly integrate to the core of the museum where the central space interprets an aspiration of people who have fought for civil rights and social justice since the past, and its roofless idea becomes a guideline heading towards the sky representing liberty.
CHALLENGE: Due to its location being on a historically preserved island, careful considerations have to be gone through such as minimizing invasion of an identity of the Statue of Liberty. Rather than becoming an independent architecture, the whole process and services should integrate to the existing timeline and activities in the island.
