DESIGN NAME: Shubhamkaroti Farms
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Bungalow Design
INSPIRATION: The design was inspired by the fantastic view of the Greenary and mountains around. It incorporated the segregation of Interiors and Exteriors, Infinity pool, huge landscape. With the modern contemporary interior design style, the space is defined with lean, straight and sharp lines with subtle ambience and aesthetics.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: As the plot is located on the hill side. It had access from both sides. East on the top and west towards slope of 55ft. downwards. So we worked the east entry according to Vaastu and plot conditions and west side was raised by 15ft. for privacy, security and to enjoy the surrounding view. Thus Architecture and Interiors was choreographed to incorporate luxury, to use as much natural lighting as possible lifting the atmosphere of all three levels of the project. Hence, the primary eye catching factor in our design was the central open atrium that visually binds all spaces and creates different shadows and forms through the day.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The aim was to achieve visual continuity despite physical demarcation of the contour levels.
The layout of the home indicates a clear bifurcation into 4 major aspects of functionalities
Formal living and dining area, informal lounge with entertainment area, fully self contained individual private bedrooms for family members and landscape area.
In terms of activity planning, it was essential to separate three levels. The formal living dining, Mandir, kitchen, master bedroom and parent's bedroom occupy the ground level.
The recreational area with informal lounge, entertainment zone, modern and stylish home theater with a capacity of 15 to 20 people, an infinity pool, gym, a master bedroom and son’s bedroom are on the first basement level.
On the second basement level is the sons bedroom and daughter’s bedroom which has a waterfall view, created through the extension of infinity pool. And the last level is treated with natural lawn to be used as a party or functional space.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in August 2014 and finished in October 2016 in Bhugaon, Pune, Maharashtra, India.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The major challenge was to use the different levels of the contour. The lowering of the Bungalow made it possible that at a high point of the entrance driveway, the visitor is stuck by the fantastic view of the greenery around and the stunning infinity pool converting into a waterfall in the garden area. Special attention to materials, colors, furniture and colorful furnishing in bedrooms. The basic palette of natural wood, mix match veneers, whites greys and warm earthy colors is adopted. Australian white marble,Black granite created 3D depth in the flooring.
