Cherry blossoms will bloom and fall. Beginning and ending. What symbolizes it is a traditional Japanese cherry tree. It is found in every Japanese classic work. When the cherry blossoms fall, things and lives end. Integration of human beings and natural objects. Proof that the Japanese have endured endurance. A visual that learned from the predecessor and begins again, expressing it. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Theater work "The Japanese and the War Series" 3rd. War, high economic growth, the steepest economy, natural disasters, people who are toppled. Expression unique to Japan, when the cherry blossoms fall, things and lives end. This visual was requested to convey it simplely and powerfully. A visual that will not be descriptive. Unification of cherry blossoms and powerful visuals and actors. Proof that the Japanese have endured endurance. But that is also to be done in the world. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Things that you can feel by looking at a single lens. Even human beings of any race can feel transience, refreshingness, sadness, joy, nature's preciousness, human preciousness. It is necessary again for the present age. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: It began in Tokyo in April 2016, finished in Tokyo in June 2016, and was exhibited and distributed in June - July 2016. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The process of deriving a simple and powerful image from this work required a very long time. It was not so important to integrate cherry blossoms with one actor. What is more important than that is a theme emerging from the story of the times and humans. And it expresses it simply, it is an image that people in the world can feel, as well as in Japan. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The size of the poster is A1 size, 594 mm - 841 mm. TAGS: War, Japan, Tokyo, natural disaster, labor, nature, cherry tree, flower, human, simple RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In contemporary society where the past has been forgotten, this work has an important meaning in the world where culture has declined after the high economic growth has ended. The importance of helping each other, the importance of effort, the idea of redoing even if failed, the way to make use of past mistakes, what is necessary for human beings are packed. In the design, it was expressed and thought what is an abstract representation that expresses it, what exact motif is. CHALLENGE: Although it is a story linked to the present age, there are many scenes where history is flashbacked, so recognition of history was needed. A craftworker and factory that supported Japan's monozukuri, the war in which the Japanese were forcibly forced, such as the Sino-Japanese War, the Russo-Japanese War, the Pacific War, and the resulting economic change. The stories were made with them all blended together. Therefore cherry blossoms became the most key visual.
