PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House
INSPIRATION: The project was inspired in the nature of the site, and adapted to the terrain, by respecting the existing trees to generate views, privacy, and most important natural shadow to the open spaces, inviting the users once again to coexist with nature, inspired int the local jungle, to elaborate the landscape design as a meditation space, with walking paths in the back yard.
The material pallet was inspired in the contrast between nature elements such as plants, rocks, and trees wood.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project is erected within a lot abundant vegetation. Most of the trees were respected or relocated, to provide shadow , to generate cool breezes, and nature ventilation
The project is developed in only one level, divided into three stages (garage, service area and residential area), all of which are connected by a network of ramps and steps through gardens and loose walls.
Playing with simple geometry, completely open to the exterior, the natural environment is incorporated into each space
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The interaction in the space is quite free thanks of the hiding doors, that allows to communicate exterior spaces with the interior, without any glass obstacle.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in February 2015 and finished in November 2016 Merida, Yucatan, Mexico

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The analysis of the temperature generated by the threes shadows in the site where the starting point to generate the open spaces without compromising the inside project temperature. Facing the open spaces to the North, to receive the fresh winds, and the perfect nature illumination, without gaining heat in the inside, and generating cool breezes inside the house.
CHALLENGE: The creative challenge in this project was the zonification, to save the mayor number of threes as possible. As a result of the existing trees location, the project was divided in 3 stages, linked by ramps, steps and loose walls, going trough the local landscape private gardens.
