| DESIGN NAME: Boutiqe Hotel Belvenu PRIMARY FUNCTION: Restructuration historic Hotel INSPIRATION: The main inspiration for this project was the building by himself. His centuries old structures and stoneworks should be still the main protagonist after the restructuration. Anyway the building should be furnished with state of the art interiors and comfort for the guests. Furthermore the historic urban environment like old houses, alleys and places gives the project the latest ideas and his finishing. At least this restructured Hotel gives the hole city square and environment a revaluation. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This Hotel stands as a historic solitaire in the middle of the medieval city square of Glurns. The challenge was to manifest a contemporary and honest straightforward architecture. In the harmonious interaction of fewer materials, textures and colors, it is to continue its history and those of the whole city. Interiors and rooms with decent decor and reserved decorations should speak for themselves. Individual notes were given by many photomotives on the decorative films of some glass walls. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The old masonry should be in interaction of fewer new materials, textures and colors, so it can furthermore tell his history and those of the city. Interior with a decent decoration and reserved decorations, should speak for itself. The entire hotel has been equipped with the very latest in-house technology and turned into a "smart house" to provide the best comfort. This is a delightful contrast to the existing century-old building fabric. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: harmonious interaction of fewer natural materials, textures and colors SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: the buildig has a cubage about 3.500 m3 and a usable surface nearly 900 m2 TAGS: hotel, design, boutique, retro, historic RESEARCH ABSTRACT: examine and respect the old building and a research of similar other projects CHALLENGE: The challenge was to manifest a contemporary and honest straightforward architecture.
