PRIMARY FUNCTION: Social Media Cards
INSPIRATION: The graphics were inspired by the Africa's pattern and people's lifestyle. Combined with the content and the data in the report to create a series of infographic and illustration.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: afHDR is a series of illustration infographics cards used on social media. I worked with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to create a compelling infographic cards to propagate the message of accelerating gender equality and women’s empowerment from the Africa Human Development Report 2016. This report analyses the political, economic and social drivers that hamper African women’s advancement and proposes policies and concrete actions to close the gender gap.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: This series of social media cards has two language version, French and English. They were uploading to internal UNDP platform to share with the country office worldwide. So country office can use those cards to promote gender equality message on their social media platform. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Drew ideas on the sketchbook first to determine the consistent visual language and character's shape. Then used illustrator, Photoshop to accomplish the color, font, and typography.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The design was contained the public visual communication strategy. How to better deliver messages on the social media and how to attract audience's attention are the area I was focusing for a while.
CHALLENGE: The content was the most challenge part. I was discussed with the communication specialist to try to simplify the phrasing without losing the meaning.
