My pre-production included a wide research base, including books from library, as well as a variety of internet resources including environmental problems research report, encyclopedia of Chinese historical figures, search engine image results, and some color reference.
This is a Chinese problem, so the design should also have Chinese characteristics. I drew up a lot of sketches. Finally, I think the imprint of Chinese traditional cultural image is stored in the minds of every Chinese people. In the design process, it needs to flatten the three-dimensional character and animal image, at the same time, the character should be limited in the fixed size and keep them have high uniformity. It really took me a lot of time. Color is also carefully considered, because it is necessary to take into account the characteristics of the role, but also presents a sense of haze shrouded.
