GREEN WALL HOUSE
The main inspiration of the house was for a home that would encourage green living in the modern context. We designed the living and dining areas with a open concept, connecting them with the outside via large glazing and planting outdoors. Elements of natural lighting and cross ventilation were maximized with open and double volume spaces. The green wall brought nature into the intimate interiors of the bathroom. The open concept extends to the attic family and areas and open terrace.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
We were engaged to design a family home for four and their needs were simply to provide a contemporary home that was suited to the local tropical climate and be sustainable.
The main feature for the house was a nine meter high green wall on the dividing wall of the semi-detached dwelling.
The lushly planted vertical green wall is a refreshing feature wall, experienced in the bathrooms. The unique location of the green wall means the bathroom has an ambience of being connected with nature.
