Our research is based on insights from end consumers. The end consumers was missing a holistic designed electric bike in the market. Normally electric bikes are not that beautiful. You will see external battery boxes. External motors and external cables. But in our Pininfarina case all is extremely well integrated.
The biggest challenge was that there was no components available. Because of idea to integrate all items we had to make many of the parts from scratch. For instanse the battery and the display is totally new developments for this project only.
