INSPIRATION: In the 1930's, a village located in Ikebukro Tokyo, Japan formed called the Ikebukro Montaparnasse derived originally from Montaparnasse Paris, France. The name first introduced by a Japanese poet who made the distinct connection between the two hardscapes even thou separated by oceans away; however with many similarities such as many artist living in this village. Inspiration from historical values and honoring the past of 100 hundred years with reminisce with a desire to remind ourselves of the past with importance of blending in with the present.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Manufactured built production homes with identical designs - a quest to introduce a living representation of blending together the past and present. Honoring the locals who occupied this area during this era at Ikebukro Tokyo, Japan. Many of the building furnishings were refurbished, custom hand-made or special ordered from abroad.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Atelier of Living in which 100 years ago and 100 years later coexist. A 26 story style rental apartment house with the theme of Atelier of Living was completed in this area with a historical background of Ikebukuro Montparnasse. In the building covered with white plaster, the passage of the arch ceiling which reminds me of the church penetrated north and south, now the unusual wooden entrance door is aligned with lyrical.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: A handkerchief tree.
It was named Scientific Name Davidia involucrata as it was first discovered and reported by Armand David, a French native Father and biologist. From April to June, add flowers like white handkerchiefs and then add oval shaped nuts. Symbolic tree that shines on R wall that symbolizes the building. It guided me what kind of trees I am feeling. And I met him. Surely, in the coming of age, this building and its living here will be accompanied by nice flowers.
CHALLENGE: Many furnishings featured throughout the apartment complex were refurbished martials or custom hand-made or special ordered from abroad which consequently created a challenging work schedule and to ensure the furnishings would truly coincide with the overall architectural and interior design scheme
