UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Font design inspiration comes from the Hetu & Luoshu with dots and lines, including Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches and "sun and moon" with a total of 24 words. Color reference is from "gold, wood, water, fire, earth" five elements. Design tries to use modern geometric style to present ancient Chinese philosophical thinking and system concept.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
This book contains two books, one is a left open book and the other is right open book. The two books are sharing one back on the same side, so they are united and separated at the same time. The audience can see themselves reflected on every page which means time will reflect everything.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Abstracted from the time format and tattoos of ancient China, the design was made for a new insight of how to present tradition ideas, such as "Yin Yang", "5 Elements" or "Ganzhi", other than using directly the items.

CHALLENGE:
"Yin Yang", "5 Elements" or "Ganzhi" are three segments of ancient Chinese Tao-ideology, the design combines them together and presents in a highly aesthetic way.
