| DESIGN NAME: Collecting Asia PRIMARY FUNCTION: Book INSPIRATION: It's a book for the Exhibition of "Collecting Asia - The West Discovers East Asian Art (1842-1930)" hold by Zhejiang University Museum of Art and Archaeology. Every book shows the rush and the highest print quality of that time, so the design is to present them in the best way. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It's a book about books of east Asian art collection between 1842-1930, so a folding Cover with the rising sun is used in order to create an endless visual experience and show the mysterious orient flavor. Every page for each entry is designed unique. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The folding Cover with the rising sun is used in order to create an endless visual experience and show the mysterious orient flavor. NAME: Zhejiang University Museum of Art and Archaeology PROFILE: Zhejiang University Museum of Art and Archaeological was founded under the invitation of the Zhejiang University Council and the internationally renowned Chinese art historian Professor Fang Wen. Its establishment of the idea is: Human beings use their behavior, language and art to create their civilization, and to record their civilization by writing and picturing historical materials - it's a part of university teaching canons. For this concept, Zhejiang University decided in 2009 to establish art history teaching museum, and officially named "Zhejiang University Museum of art and archeology." |
