People oriented toward traveling in a foreign country is increasing in the world and China has become a more attractive destination. Therefore, we released the China Timelines calendar in order to promote tourism industry in one way and give inspirations for travel enthusiasts in another way. We aimed to design a product, which could be functionally used and displayed as a decoration, and meanwhile we would like to bring together the traditional Chinese culture and modern daily life.
The challenge was that this work had to be very structured and simple. We need to make the pieces of each city into one postcard size cardboard, and all attachments such as bases together with the packaging box into one whole. We hoped the work would maximize the use of material and be environment-friendly.
