| DESIGN NAME: Chinoiserie Villa S3 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential Show Home INSPIRATION: Beijing Chinoiserie Villa interior uses simple neoclassical framework to build a spacious interior. Adding Chinese motifs and patterns as decorative details to reveal modern time glittering characteristics. Throughout the space, one can feel the urban ambience and spirit. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is locate nearby Beijing Capital Airport in Beijing, China. This 18,000 square feet villa has a ceiling height of nearly 14 feet throughout the main level and basement garden level, giving the residence a continuing elevated atmosphere of comfort. The 900 square feet living room and dining room combined area with its ceiling height of approximately 25 feet gives a sense of majesty. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The show home was marketed and open to the public for viewing by appointment only. The show home promotes developer's relentless pursuit for excellence in the property. Thus potential buyers would feel more confident, willing and comfortable in spending from 10 to 15 millions Euros to purchase a home in this property. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in early 2014 and finished in March 2015. The project is located in the Dongwei Road in Shunyi District Beijing, China. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Multiple western and Chinese elements and decoration details are utilized in the design. Such as the Huizhou architectural arches details, the common carvings of stone pedestal that is shaped as the plum blossom; the imperial decoration of the dragon scales. Texture rich travertine stone, with its calming colour and elegant appearance, is used throughout the majority of the large area. Furthermore, combination and mix use of leather with brass, marble stone with wood, provided a melodious fashion look for the space. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: There are total of five floors with considerations to a complete functional spaces and traffic flows. Detailed space planning reflects emphasis placed on the comfort and requirements of the future villa owner and represents the true meaning of bespoke design. Every square foot of this project demonstrates complete beauty from floor to ceiling as well as intricate luxurious touches throughout. Sensuously rich materials evoking, and indeed incorporating precious jewels have been combined for interior architectural detailing and colour applications celebrating historical grandeur. One of the unique aspects of the design is to incorporate some Chinoiserie design details in the space. CHALLENGE: The design challenge of this 1,800 square meters villa is that we need to create a space that merges Chinoiserie and Western Classic together to create a mixture of modern and traditional context interior.
